MODERN SLAVERY AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING STATEMENT


Purpose
This statement is made pursuant to Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and Home Office Explanatory Memorandum No 1833 (2015). It sets out the steps taken by Lincolnshire Pork Co Ltd “Lincolnshire Pork”, to ensure that modern slavery neither occurs nor is tolerated within our business, supply chain or relevant third parties. Lincolnshire Pork is committed to acting ethically and with transparency in all its business relationships and has a zero-tolerance policy toward any form of modern slavery.
Due consideration is given to all aspects of slavery and human trafficking, including servitude, forced labour and compulsory labour.


Lincolnshire Pork
Lincolnshire Pork is a family-owned business originally incorporated in 1947. It operates its business of providing ethically reared livestock produced to the highest standards of Red Tractor Accreditation.
It further operates its business following the principles of five defined values Customer Focus, Delivering Results Effectively, Making a Difference, Respect and Development.


Policies
Recruitment: Lincolnshire Pork operates a robust recruitment policy with new recruits chosen on merit for the role. New recruits are required to provide proof of eligibility to work within the UK, in accordance with UK Law. Every recruit follows a planned induction programme into the business.
Hours of work, overtime and pay: The standard working week for Lincolnshire Pork employees is 40 hours. Overtime is on an agreed basis. A bonus incentive is available for all employees in Lincolnshire Pork based upon team effort and production figures. Lincolnshire Pork adheres to all UK employment law and pay all staff at or above National Minimum/ Living Wage. Wages are paid every four weeks on the fourth Thursday of the pay cycle.
Holidays: Employees are entitled to 29 days holiday (including statutory holidays) increasing with length of service up to 34 days.
Pension Scheme: Lincolnshire Pork employees are auto enrolled in a pension scheme with contributions set to meet or exceed the requirements set out in UK law.
Company policies: The company operates aligned policies designed to ensure that Lincolnshire Pork remains committed to the highest standards of ethical conduct. These include Bullying and Harassment Policy, Equal Opportunities Policy, Public Interest Disclosure (Whistleblowing) Policy.
Confidential Email: All staff have access to a confidential email which is monitored by two designated speak out champions.


Training
A full training programme is provided for all employees including discussion on our policies and values


Third Party Contractors
All third-party contractors used by Lincolnshire Pork have checks carried our and a register kept ensuring they operate ethically and in accordance with employment legislation.
