If you caught our cooking demonstration at the Lincs Show, you’ll know it was all about big flavour with minimal fuss. We had a brilliant crowd throughout the day, with people stopping to see what was made, ask questions, and – most importantly – grab a taster.
We love doing live demos because they show just how quick and easy it can be to turn great-quality pork into something that feels like a treat, even on a busy weeknight.
These were a real show-stopper: small, juicy pieces of belly pork cooked until they’re golden and caramelised, then finished with a sticky maple glaze that balances sweet and savoury.
Why they work so well
How to do it at home (quick version)
Crispy on the outside, packed with flavour inside – these were the perfect “grab and go” taster. We combined the comfort of a sausage bite with smoky cheddar and a gentle jalapeño kick, then cooked them until they were beautifully crisp.

Short on time?
You can bake or air fry them too – still tasty, still easy, and perfect when you want a quick snack without a lot of mess.
After the demo we handed out tasters – and the reactions made the day. Lots of “ooh, what is that?” faces, plenty of smiles, and more than a few people coming back for seconds. It’s always a great feeling to see people enjoy something you’ve cooked, especially when it’s built around simple ingredients and great pork.
If there’s one thing we hope the demo (and the video) shows, it’s this:
Thanks to everyone who stopped by, asked questions, and tried a sample. If you recreate either of these at home, we’d love to see how they turn out.
